Kaziranga National Park is one of the prides of India. Kaziranga is the place where the nature unwinds its pristine form in millions of hues, where wildlife roams fearlessly, where man and nature meets together. This prestigious national park of India is situated in the north eastern part of the country in the district of Golaghat and Nagoan in the state of Assam. Let’s go back to the beginnings of the twentieth century in the year of 1904 when this beautiful wildlife sanctuary was created, and about 68 years later it was declared as National Park by the Government of Assam.
How to Reach Kaziranga National Park :
By Air : Jorhat Airport, 109 kilometers from Kaziranga, is the closest airport.
By Rail : Furkating Junction railway station in Golaghat district, which is approximately 75 kilometers from Kaziranga, would be the closest railway station. From the railway station, one can take a bus or car to reach the railways station.
By Road : If planning to reach Kaziranga by roads, it would be advisable to first reach Guwahati, Jorhat, or Tezpur. And then take a bus or cab to reach Kaziranga National Park.
Manas is very rich in the population of Royal Bengal Tigers. Presently the popu-lation of Tigers are counted up to 60, although a ride through the park may not guarantee a tiger sighting.The diverse habita of Manas is ideal home for a specialized birds. Manas boasts the largest population of the endangered Bengal Florican in the world and is also a great place to see the Great Hornbill.

By Air : Nearest Airport is Guwahati (180 kms / 5 hrs drive approx.). Regular flight operates from Bagdogra, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Goa, Dibrugarh, Jorhat by Indian Airlines (Air India), Jet Airways, Jetlite, Indigo, & Go Air. Drukair connects Bangkok & Paro (Bhutan) with Guwahati twice a week.
By Road : Manas is 176 kms from Guwahati. The National Highway No. 31 adjoins Barpeta Road (not Barpeta town) which is 22 kms to Bansbari (Manas entry point where Musa Jungle Retreat is located overlooking the Park). The journey from Guwahati by road is 5 hrs. Approx.
By Rail : Guwahati is gateway to the North East India. All major cities of India are well connected to Guwahati including Rajdhani Express. There are several trains stops at Barpeta Road Railway Station, which is 22 kms to Bansbari (MusaJungle Retreat, Manas) by road.

By Air : Majuli can't be reached by air. It doesn't have any airport. Jorhat is the only connecting point between Majuli and other cities. With a well-developed airport, Jorhat can be reached easily. From there, you can start your journey to Majuli.

By Rail : There is no train available to Majuli. As Majuli is not commercialised, it is kept as close to nature as possible. Hence, no railways tracks are laid there. If you wish to travel by train, you can get a train to Jorhat which is connected with Guwahati.

By Rail : The nearest Railway Station is Simalguri Railway Station which is 16 Kms from Sibsagar.
By Road : Sibsagar is readily available via a good network of road transport. Distance between Sibsagar to Guwahati is 376 km by Road and it takes around 7-8 Hours.
